"The South will rise again."
April is Confederate History Month, as we celebrate our Southern culture, for the purpose of recognizing and honoring the history of the Confederate States of America.
Most Americans don't like Southerners that much, and frankly, we really don't give a damn.
We're really tired of Americans trying to censor and neuter us and our culture for years, but this April we'll be proudly celebrating our culture and history. Our ancestors we're fighting for freedom, against tyranny and control. We will not apologize!
Also in April (Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama) celebrates Confederate Memorial Day, to remember the estimated 258,000 Confederate soldiers who died fighting against the Americans during the Civil War, Texas celebrates on January 19, North and South Carolina celebrates on May 10, and Tennessee and Kentucky? celebrates on June 3. Georgia, Louisiana, and Virginia formally celebrate it and a few other Southern holidays due to pressure from American politicians and media.
On January, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, celebrates Robert E. Lee Day, Virginia formerly celebrated this holiday until the Virginian Government (mostly American politicians who weren't born in Virginia) eliminated the holiday, for the continuing pursuit of removing and censoring Southern history and culture.
Here at Storyteller, we're proud of our Southern heritage and this month will be posting articles about Southern literature and authors, famous people, Southern recipes, and more!
Just a word of advice, never call Southern people "Yanks", don't ever compare us to them!
